KABOOTAR BAAZI

नेट  पर  शाहजहांपुरी  लफ्ज़  से  रिश्ता  रखने  वाली  चीज़ों  को  तलाश  कर  रहा  था   तो  पाकिस्तान  की  एक  साईट  दिखी जिसपर  लिखा  था   शाहजहांपुरी  हरे  कबूतर , वो  देखकर  न  जाने  कितनी  बातें  याद  आती  चली  गईं 

आज  से  45  साल  पहले  जब  सय्यद   अजीजुल मलिक {मरहूम}  कबूतर बाज़ी  के  सिलसिले  मैं  शाहजहांपुर  आते  थे तो  उनका  कयाम  मरहूम मंजूरुल्लाह  खान  के  घर  पर  होता  था   तो  हम  भी  अपने  खालू  से  मिलने  ज़रूर  जाते  थे   और  उस  दौरान  हम  इन  कबूतर  बाज़ों  का  शौक़  देख  कर  दंग  रह  जाते थे   जनाब  ये  शौक़  तो  आम  आदमी  कर  ही  नहीं  सकता  था  बडे  बडे  मकान  अलग  कबूतर-खाने   उनकी  सफाई  के  लिए  नौकर  उनके  दाने  का  ख़ास  अह्त्माम   और  जो  लोग  इस  सिलसिले  मैं  आते  थे  उनकी  खातिर मदारात .  क्या  जलवा  था  क्या  महफिलें  थीं अब  हम  तो  कबूतर  के  बाहरी  हुस्न  पर  जाते  थे   मगर  ये  लोग  सिर्फ  वो  ही  कबूतर  को   कीमती   मानते  थे  जो  सब  से  ज्यदा  देर  तक  उड़  सकता  है  और  वहीं  पर  उतरता  है  जहां  से  उड़ता  है.

इस  सिलसिले  मैं  हम  ने  मलिक  साहेब  से  पुछा  कौन कबूतर  अचछा  है  तो  उन्हूं  ने  बताया  था    की  शाहजहांपुर  का  सब्ज़ा   पूरे  हिन्दुस्तान  मैं  मशहूर  है  और  उस  कबूतर  का  कोई  जवाब  ही  नहीं  है.

कबूतर  बाज़  जानते  हैं   की  अगर  दिल  शाहजहांपुरी  की वजह से शाहजहांपुर का  उर्दू दुनिया   मैं  नाम  है  तो  शाहजहांपुर के सब्ज़ा की वजह से भी  कबूतर  बाजों की  दुनिया में  शाहजहांपुर  को बहुत ही इज्ज़त की निगाह से देखा जाता है और  ये  शाहजहांपुर  का  नायाब  तोहफा है  कबूतर  बाजों  को.   

मैं  ने बहुत कोशिस  की मगर  अफ़सोस  नेट पर इस बारे में शाहजहांपुर का कहीं नाम ही  नहीं  है  और  बहुत  ही  अफ़सोस  हुआ  इस  की  वजह  से शाहजहांपुर का  आज  कहीं  ज़िक्र  नहीं  है .

अभी  शाहजहांपुर  मैं  कुछ  शौकीन  बाक़ी  हैं और  मैं  आइन्दा  इसके  बारे  में  ज़रूर  मालूमात  जमा  करूंगा .

‘ phir jab sahraaon mein pahli martaba Huddi khwanon ko gaate suna. Raat ke pichhle paher dafatan naghma buland hua jo cheekh se mushabehat rakhta tha; dil se nikli hui cheekh se. Yeh pukar mauseequi ke usoolon aur saazon kee madad se beniyaz thee. Jaise rooh kainaat se hamkalaam ho. Nagma maddham hua aur ajeeb sa fusoon chhorta hua door chala gaya.’

Translation; ‘Then when I listened to the singing of Huddi khwans (Desert dwellers) in a desert. It was late in the night that a song was being blown up, resembling a wail —– a scream emerging from one’s soul. Missing from this scream was any use of musical notes or instrument. It looked as if the soul is in conversation with the universe. The song reached a low pitch; it left a strange sensation in the atmosphere as it appeared to be drifting away.’

I always  like to read QUOTE ,  as a good  Quotation gives so much in so few words. It saves time , it touches somewhere deep inside. NOT  all Quotes are , as such , some , clicks and some make no impact. One my friend  , who is a  Kawi  once said  " Quotes ,you like are those , which you are not  actually practicing ". This very thought of my Kawi  friend , hurts me ,  as  all good Quotes exhorting for good things  in life are of my liking , which imply that  I am not practicing good things. But I try to keep my   mind open on this  issue , as always , you are the last  man on earth to know if your mouth is giving foul smell. So this logic applies everywhere.


However most  of the Quotes are coming from menfolk  , as such , they are mostly biased like:-

But  I came across the two Quotes , both by  Unknown Author , which  I feel  gives a different  look  to  our counter part , which are as  follows.

क्रोध , गुस्सा , तुनकमिजाजी   या वक्ती  पागलपन  , इन सब  बीमारिओं  से  थोडा  बहुत  हर  व्यक्ति  पीड़ित  होता .  और  अफ़सोस  ये  है  की  जो  शख्स  कमज़ोर होता है  और  नुकसान  बर्दाश्त  नहीं  कर  सकता  वही  इस  बीमारी  का  शिकार  होता  है .  कितने  भी   भाषण  दिए  जाएं  या  समझाया  जाए  इनसे  छुटकारा   पाना  बहुत  मुश्किल  होता  है. बहुत  बार  मैं  ने  भी  इसी  पागलपन  का  शिकार  होकर अपना  नुकसान  किया  है  मैं  ये  सब  जानता  हूँ  मगर  एकदम  से  एक  भूत  या   पागलपन   आ  जाता    है  और  अक़ल  खब्त   हो जाती  है   जब  ये  तूफ़ान  गुज़र  जाता  तब   कुछ  भी  करो  नुकसान  की  भर  पाई  नहीं  होती .अफ़सोस  ये  है  की  इस  पागल  पन  का  शिकार  भी  सिर्फ  अपने  ही  होते   हैं  जिनका  आप  दिल   नहीं  दुखाना  चाहते .  शायद   तमाम   महान   आत्माओं   ने  कोशिस  ये  ही  की  है  की  इस  क्रोध  से  कैसे  बचा  जा सके.  मगर  उनकी  सुनता  ही  कौन  है   उनकी  बातें  तो  पढ़कर  दूसरों  को  सुनाने  के  लिए होती  हैं  अम्ल  के  लिए  नहीं.  ये  ही  हमारा   तरीका   बन  चूका  है.

एक  बहुत ही  अच्छी  टॉय  स्टोरी  पर फिल्म  लाया  बड़ी  कोशिस  के  बाद  वो  हमारे  डेस्क टॉप  पर  चली  पर साहब-जादे   ने  मना   कर  दिया   और  जिद  शुरू  हुई  हम  तो    आल  इज  वेल और  पैसा  पैसा क्यों  करती  है गाने  सुनूं गा   खैर  जनाब  भला   हो  नेट  का  वोह    २  घंटों  से    उनको    Desk  Top   पर दिखा / सुना    रहा  हूँ   और  अब  तो  हमको भी  कुछ  कुछ  याद  होने  लगे  हैं  

अब  इस से  भी  दिल  भर  गया  और  फरमाइश  हुई  की  Nursery  Rhymes की ,   भला हो You Tube का  उसकी  मदद  ली   ये  तो  मानना  ही  पड़ता  है  की  ये  बच्चों  को  बहुत  आसानी  से  याद   हो  जाती   हैं     और  बच्चों  मैं  इनकी  मक़्बूलिअत  का  राज़  भी  ये  ही  है.

वैसे  दबे  लफ़्ज़ों  मैं  अभी  से  याद  दिलाया  जा  रहा  है  की  आज   नुमाइश  और  शहीद  पार्क  भी  जाना  है   बीच  बीच  मैं  ये  भी  याद  दिलाते  रहते हैं  की  अम्मा  की  याद  आ  रही  है  और  हमको   उनके  पास  छोड़  कर  आओ .

INSAAN
InsaanoN meiN kuchh who haiN jo shaaheen ki tarah aasmaanoN mein mahv-e- parvaaz rahte haiN. Oonche aur buland aasmaan par urte urte unki nazar zameen par rengne wale apne jaise lekin kamzor insaanon par rahti hai. Mauqa milte hi woh zameen par aate hain aur jhapatta maar kar apna shikaar karte hain. Phir use oonchi cattanon par le ja kar khaate hain. Akele.

Insaanon mein kuchh aise bhi hain jo darakhton ki tarha oonche ho kar aasmanon se baaten zaroor karte hain lekin zameen se rishta qayam rakhte hain. Jaron se jure rahte hain. Jo lete hain us se zyada zameen ko lauta dete hain, (phal,saya aur hazaaron deegar cheezon ki shakl mein).

Aur zyaadah tar log bas baunon ki tarha neeche hi neeche ugte aur mar jate hain.

Aao aayeene ke sammne chalte hain. Dekhen ham kaun se insaan hain.

सरकता  हुआ  जून  का  महीना  , कभी  बादल  कभी  धूप , उमस  भरी  दोपहरी , ढलती  हुई उम्र   और  बिजली  की  आँख  मिचोली .   जीवन  के  कितने  रंग   हैं  और  ऐसे मैं  हमारे   चहीते  नवासे  का  फैसला  की  वोह  हमारे  साथ  कयाम   करे गा   अभी  ३  दिन  पहले  ही  वोह  ५  साल  का  हुआ  है   उसकी  दादी  उसको  सीमाब { पारा }  सिफत  कहती  हैं    अब  ये  सोचने  का  मुकाम  है  की  ६५  और  ५  का  मेल  कैसा   हो  गा   वोह  सिर्फ  कार्टून  फिल्म  देखेगा   मतलब  सब  प्रोग्राम  बंद.   अगर  नेट  पर  बैठे  गे  तो  वोह  सिर्फ  ट्रेन्स  YOU-TUBE   पर  देखे  गा   अगर  Ice-Cream   और  आम  हो  तो   ठीक   है   खाने   से   कोई   रगबत   नहीं .  हमारे  पास  रहने  की  महरबानी   की  वजह  ये  है  की  हम  लोग  Home-Work   और  पढ़ाई  की  बात  नहीं  करते  हैं 

वोह  तो  ये  भी  सोच  रहा  है  की  यहाँ  ही  स्कूल  मैं  पढ़ा  जाए  क्योंकि  वोह  जहां  पढता  है   वहाँ  पढ़ाई  की  बात  होती  है  और  नानू  के  घर  पढ़ाई  को  कोई  नहीं  कहता  है.   साहेब  घर  मैं  ४४० W  दौड़   रहा  है  मेरी  वाल्दा  भी  उसके  सामने  बेबस  हैं   बस  ये  कहती  हैं   ऐसे  बच्चे   नहीं  पलते   अब उनको  क्या  बताएँ   उनका  साबका  हमारे  ऐसे  बुधू  और  डरपोक  से  पड़ा  था  और  ये   नसल  तो  बहुत  ही  तेज़  है  खौफ  का  तो  नाम  ही  नहीं  है   न तो  चोट  का  डर  ,  न  पिटाई  का  खौफ  ,  और  जिद  तो बस  कूट  कूट  कर  भरी  हुई  है 

वैसे  मुझे  ये  शिकवा   था   वक़्त  बहुत  तेज़ी  से  गुज़र  रहा  है   मगर  उसके  आने  से  लगा  की  नहीं  वक़्त  अपनी ही  रफ़्तार  से  चल  रहा  है  अब  हमारे  पास  कोई  मकसद  है. जब  कोई  मकसद  हो  तो  वक़्त  अपनी  रफ़्तार  ठीक  कर  लेता  है.

शहर  मे  आजकल  नुम्माइश  लगी  है  और  शहीद  पार्क  भी  है  उसको  सब  मालूम  हैं  और  हुई  शाम  उनका  ख़याल  आ  गया  बस  वहीँ  चलो  अब   आप  समझ  ही  सकते  हैं   इस  उम्र  में  एक  ५  साल  के  बच्चे  के  साथ  सब  झूलों  पर  बैठना  कितना  मुश्किल  काम  है.

हम  ये  लिख  रहे  हैं  और  डर  भी  रहे  हैं  की  कब  वोह  नारा  लगाते  हुए  आ  जाएँ  की  अब  हम  ट्रेन   देखेंगे.

लोग  माँ  -बाप  को  इलज़ाम  देते  हैं   मगर  वोह  गलत  है  ये Genetically  Pre-programmed  Child  होते  हैं  आप सधाने  की  कोशिश  कर  सकते  हैं  मगर   कामयाबी  दूसरी  पार्टी  के  मूड  और  तालुकात  पर  है   अच्छा  खुदा-हाफ़िज़

By 2050 nearly One in Five people in developing countries will be over 60.

Above all is simply for GK purpose ,  and normally would not attract our attention. We are simply sitting in our cozy houses , well protected by our relations ,  friends , pension & Savings, but what attracted my attention is a report on Elder abuse & crime in India by Helpage India . Some of the interesting data , which would open our eyes are as under :-

1. 72% Stay with Son , 23%stay with spouse and 13 % living with daughters.
2. 55% elders have remittance from Children & more than 35% depend on Pension.
3. 69% living in their own house and remaining in rented house.
4. More than 52% are dependent on daughter-in law  for daily routine.
5. 60% of the elderly consider verbal abuse as elder abuse while 48% feel physical abuse constitute elder abuse.
6. Abuse by daughter-in law was reported most in Delhi 100% followed by Hyderabad 89% & Bhopal 87%.
7. 98% of the elderly reported not filing a complaint against abuse faced.
8. There are estimated 90 millions older persons in India. 7.5% of Population.
9. 63% Daughter-in-law & 44% son   abuse  their elders.

We  always boost about our culture with regard to respect given to elders and lookdown so called western countries  for ignoring their elders. But aboe facts are eye opener and we are  no better than others.

Shall we not sit down and  examine the present scenario in correct perspective . We all are  guilty  . We talk  big on religion , morals  and righteous things but we leave them outside when we enter in our domain .

This all noise by Media , Masses on Corruption appears to  me height of hypocracy . Do we know  what  we want  ?  We are  asking for removal  of an evil  which we all are indulging lavishly. Where is not corruption ?  Just  go  any  where  and see it is rampant  and  even  those  departments where it was non- existant  in past  , it is  most  prevalent  for example.  Education  department wherein  right from admission of Boys  to  the  grant  of  transfer of Teachers  their postings what to talk of recruitment.

So  actually what we want  when  something is rampant  and we all  are   part  to  it ;  How it can  be removed ?    There is an  age  old  local saying   which  has always been  true   " रिश्वत लेते पकडे गए , रिश्वत  देकर छूट गए "

So what do we expect  from Lokpal Bill ? Thsesis would  be another legislation , manned by  any of us  who  are always prone to temptations , who always break under pressure . There would not be any change . Already there are enough legislations to nab wrongdoers. But those who have got money power , muscle power or political power go scot free. Few cases are reported for the sake of data  or who cross their limit. There should always be a limit . Excess is bad as old saying goes. 

बीरबल   ने  एक  बार  कहा  था  की  हर  आदमी   चोर  है  , अकबर  ने   कहा  नहीं  ऐसा  नहीं  हो  सकता  . बीरबल   ने   आदेश   करवा दिया  की  कल   अँधेरी  रात  है  रात  को  हर  व्यक्ति  एक  घड़ा  दूध  एक  सूखे  तालाब  मैं  डाले  गा  ताकि  महाराज  अगले  दिन  दूध  के तालाब  मैं  स्नान   कर  सकें .   

रात  मैं  हर  व्यक्ति  ने  सोचा  की  अगर  मैं  घडे  में  पानी ले  जाऊँगा  तो  किसको  पता  चले  गा   सब  लोग   तो  दूध  ला ही  रहे  होंगे  ,  खैर  सुबह जब  अकबर महाराज बीरबल  के  साथ तालाब पर पहुंचे तो पूरा  तालाब पानी  से    भरा  हुआ    था  और  उसमें  दूध  की  सफेदी  का  नामोनिशान  न  था   और  बीरबल  की  बात साबित  हो  गयी  की  हम  सब  चोर  हैं.

आज  एक  शख्स  की  मिटटी में  शरीक  होने   कांट गया   मरने  वाला  एक किसान  था  तालीम  से  दूर   था वोह  खानदान. उसके  छोटे  भाई  पहले  ही इस  दुनिया  से  जा चुके  थे   और  उसकी  हालत  भी  मरने  के  एक  साल  पहले  ही  वोह  हड्डी  का  ढांचा  हो  चूका  था  वोह १० महीने  से बिस्तर पर  पड़ा  था  उसके  और  अज़ीज़  जो  आस    पास  रहते  हैं बहुत  अच्छी  हालत  में  हैं  उससे   उम्र  में  १०-१५ साल  बडे  हैं  और  अभी  ठीक  ठाक  हैं 

में  ने  सब  से  पुछा  एक  खानदान  के  कुछ  लोग  कितना  उठ  जाते हैं  और  कुछ  कितना   गरीबी  की  रेखा  के  बहुत  नीचे  चले  जाते  हैं    सब  अपना  अलग  अलग मत  रखते हैं   ज्यदा  तर लोग  किस्मत  को  ही  दोष  देते   हैं    वोह  सब  से  सहल  है  कुछ  कहते  हैं  की  ऊपर  वाला  इम्तिहान  ले  रहा  है   मगर  एक  पुरानी  कहावत  है  "   छलनी  में  दूध  दुहें  और  किस्मत  को  दोष  दें " 

लेकिन  मेरा  ये  तजुर्बा है  की  जो  लोग  १. पढ़ाई / लिखाई से  दूर रहते  हैं  

२.अपने से अच्छे लोगों से नहीं मिलते  ३ . दूसरों की तरक्की  देखकर जलते हैं  सबक नहीं लेते   और  जिनको  ४.  अच्छे  ख्वाब देखने  और  उधर  बढने  का जज्बा  नहीं  होता  वोह  पतन  की ओर  चलते  हैं ........      

अगर  आप  आगे  नहीं  बढ़  रहे  हैं  तो  ज़रूर  आप  पतन  की   ओर  जा  रहे  हैं  ये  याद  रखें .इस  दुनिया  में  सिर्फ  एक  ही Constant  hai  That is Change.

क्या लिखूं   एक तमाशा  शुरू हुआ  वोह भी अपने रास्ते  से  भटक गया  यहाँ कुछ भी , रास्ते पर नहीं चलता ,न जाने  कौन  से  हाथ  हैं  जो  दिखाई तो  नहीं  देते  मगर हर  कहानी  को  ऐसा  मोड़  देते  हैं  जो आम  आदमी  की  समझ  से  बालातर  होती  है .   

शायद  इसलिए  ही हम  लोग फिल्म देखते हैं  और  टी . वी. से

चिपके रहते हैं वहां  बुराई  का  एक  अंत  होता है  मगर असल  ज़िन्दगी  में क्या हो रहा है वोह समझ  में ही नहीं आता अगर  आप  ने  उस  विषय पर  पढने  और  खोजने  की कोशिस   की तब तो  आप  पागल  ही  हो जायेंगे

साहब  आज  से बहुत  साल  पहले  हमारा भी  कारवां  एक  बस्ती जो नई थी , अनजान थी , मौसम येही  था  उसमें हमारा कारवां  पहुंचा  अजब  आलम  था   और  आज   भी उस दिन को याद  करते  हैं  आज  भी  जो  उसदिन  साथ पकड़ा था उसपर कायेम    हैं   बहुत  अच्छे लम्हात  भी  गुजारे  हैं बहुत  खराब  भी  बस सब  कुछ  खट्टा -मीठा  है  और  ज़िन्दगी  अपनी  राह  पर  चलती  हुई  बहुत  दूर  निकल  आई   है  

ज़िन्दगी  से  बहुत  शिकवा  नहीं  क्योंकि  जब  आस  पास देखा   तो  हमसे    भी  खराब  हालात  मैं  बहुत  लोग  थे   और  जो  अच्छे   दिख  रहे  थे  जब  उनके   पास  गया  तो  जाना  की  "  नानक  दुखिया  सब  संसार "  मेरा  जो  भी  दुःख  है  वोह  इस  वजह  से  नहीं  है  की  मेरे  आस  पास  कुछ  लोग  बहुत  खुश  हैं  मेरा  गम  ये  है  की  आज  भी  मेरे  बहुत  करीबी  लोग  परेशां  हैं   उनकी  तकलीफ  देख कर  मैं  दुखी  हूँ. 

तुम्हारे  महलों  की  शान -ओ -शौकत  भी  आरजी  हैं  , 

हमारे  माजी  का  क्या  हुआ , मक़बरों  से  पूछो

खैर  हम  माजी  का  रोना  पसंद  नहीं  करते  , हम  आज  क्या  हैं  वोह  हमारे  ऊपर  ही  है  जो  हमने  बोया  है  वो  काट  रहे  हैं    ये  दुनिया  उसका ही  साथ  देती  है   जो  कोशिस  करता  है 




ठीक  ,  आज  तो  घर  मैं  जश्न  है  बहन  भी  आई  हुई  है   , बेटी  भी  मौजूद  है  , माँ  भी  हैं  अच्छा  लग  रहा है  मगर  जब  पलट  कर  देखता  हूँ  तो   जानता  हूँ   की  ये  ख़ुशी  भी  उतनी  आरजी  है  जितना  पिछला  गम  था

जमा  करते  हो  क्यों  रकीबों   को  ?

एक  तमाशा  हुआ , गिला न  हुआ .

सो  अब  एक  तमाशा  आज  से  फिर  शरू  हो  गया  है   पूरे  देश  का ध्यान  उधर  है   मीडिया   की  बल्ले-बल्ले  है   एक  भीड़   है   हर  शख्स  ,  हर  नेता   भीड़    गिन  रहा   है   और  मीडिया  एक  अलग  पार्ट  अदा  कर  रहा  है   इस  भीड़   पर  याद  आया  Winston Churchill   जब  अपनी सियासत  मैं  शबाब  पर  थे   तो  उनकी  एक  तक़रीर  के  बाद  एक  दोस्त  ने  कहा   आज  बहुत  भीड़  थी  इस  पर  Churchill   ने   कहा  अगर  कल  मेरी   फाँसी  का  एलान  होता   है  तो  उसको  देखने  इस से  भी  दुगनी  भीड़  आएगी .

सो  ये  भीड़  है  तमाशबीनों   की  भीड़ , सीधे  साधे  इंसानों  की  भीड़   जो  देखने  आई   है  की  अब  क्या   होता  है  वक़्त  के  साथ  शौक़   बदलते   है   हमारे  देखते  ही  देखते 

पहले   मदारी  बन्दर , भालू  लेकर  आता  था  और  रात  को  नौटंकी  और  ढोला   वगैरा   चलता  था  फिर  प्रोजेक्टर  पर  सिनेमा  आया ,  फिर  नेता  आने  लगे  , फिर  हीरो  और  हेरोइने   आने  लगे   इसके  अलावा  मेले    तो  चलते  ही  रहते  हैं   अब CWG    IPL     WC   आ  गया 

मतलब  ये  है की  मदारी  बदलते  रहे   मगर  हमारे  नेता  हम  से  दूर  होते  गए , हमारे   देखते  ही  देखते   २-३ नेता   जिनको  पार्टी  इसलिए  रखती  थी की  उनकी  बातें  सुनकर  भीड़  हंसती  है   वोह  इतने  शक्तिशाली  हुए  की  मंत्री  तथा  मुख्य मंत्री  तक  बन  गए 

साहेब  बस  Crowd  Puller   चाहिए    मगर  ये  जनता  है  ये  सब  जानती  है   अब  ब्रांड  का  ज़माना है  योगी  महाराज योग  सिखा  रहे  हैं   और  हम  उनकी  Brand  Value  नाप   रहे  हैं     योगी जी  को  भी  अहसास  है   की  ब्रांड  क्या  है  मगर  ब्रांड  की  life-value क्या है  कल Bata  एक  नंबर  पर  था  अक्लोता  था   आज  १०  ब्रांड  मौजूद  हैं 

मगर  साहेब  एक  बहुत  मशहूर लेखक जो  भाषण देकर और  किताब  लिखकर खूब  नाम  कमा  रहे  थे , इधर  निकल  आये और  MP  ka  Election  हार  गए   अपने  बच्चन जी ,  ठाकुर  साहेब  और  न  जाने  कितने  नामी  गिरामी लोग  इधर  आये मगर जो  इज्ज़त  उधर  कमाई  थी  वो   इधर  गँवा दी .  सियासत  एक फुल टाइम  काम  है   और  इसमें  विरासत  भी  चलती  है    और  ये ......................................

MINI SAGAS
A MINI SAGA IS EXACTLY 50 WORDS LONG. It is a complete story. The title is often very important in directing the reader’s attention to the point of the story, so titles may be up to 15 words long.

1.OUT OF MOUTHS OF BABES?

‘Come and meet my friend on
Sports day Mummy’
Sports day came.
Where’s your new friend, Paul?’
He’s sitting on the front
Bench.’
There were ten on the front
Bench.
‘He’s wearing red shorts’
There were three boys with
Red shorts.
‘His hair is curly’
‘Oh, the black one,’
Said Mummy.

2. THE MAKER

He gathered his tools and materials and shaped
Mountains and deep trenches;
He carefully traced out the continents.

3. WHO GOT THE BEST BARGAIN

Harris boasts he gave an African a cheap watch
For an uncut diamond.
Sold it and gambled the proceeds for more.
Abukali tells of the tiktik he swapped for a wife
And two goats.
Harris chases further millions.
Abukali sleeps in the shade while his children tend
His twenty goats.

Smith gave Ahmadu his wrist watch and received in return a raw daimond lump.
Ahmadu traded the tick-tick for a wife and two goats.
Few years later, while Smith was chasing his millions in NY, Ahmadu in Africa was asleep under a tree and his sons were tending his twenty goats. His wife was preparing on wood fire his simple evening meal.

Somewhere I read that three  basics govern the  life  , character  & personality of a man . I am skeptical about the authenticity of this thought but this needs pondering.

These are      1.  Carefree

                      2.  Careful

                       3. Security 

Now let us examine these three qualities in any Child . Some are carefree , they damn care where they  are  ?  You can say they are fearless  . They are not afraid  whether their parents are near  or not.  This basic trait  is going to govern  their  personality in the coming years.  Their  personality development would be on that line , they would be Fearless. They  would not bother  about the Security & Safety in their decisions.

Next comes  Careful . For this trait , immediately  a  Sher  of  Muzaffar  Shahjahanpuri  comes to my  mind.

"Qabl  agaaz hi anjaam ka dar hota hai , 

"  Door  Andesh  bada  tang  nazar  hota  hai ."

  

So  Careful  Character  would  waste a lot  of  time  in  taking  care  of  the small  things , it is good  trait  but  one looses  the  beauty  of  real  life .  The  real  enjoyment   ,  happiness  and  pleasures  always escapes  his  life as at that  stage   he remains busy  in  small things  of  life  which  in  long  run  have  got  no  value.

We  are  at  such  stage  of  life    that  we  can  afford to look  back  and  examine  critically the anxious moments  of our life .  I  know  that  so  many  anxious  days  &  nights   were  wasted   because  I was  more  careful  of  little  things  and  failed  to  enjoy  the  life  at  that  stage.  Fortunately  few  friends  around  me were  of  Carefree  nature   and  now  I  know  that they  took  the  real  pleasure  of  life at  that  time   when  I  was  deep  sunk  in  worries.

Third  category is  Security . You would see  that  some  Children  starts weeping ,no sooner their mother is away and as soon as she comes in they  start  playing. This indicates  that  Child  is  Security  Conscious   , that  Child  would  be relaxed  when  his parents  are  in  sight  /  around.     Such   persons  when  grow   up  always waste  their  precious  moments  in search  of  Security . Naturally   Parents  are   not  there  so  they  will take  the  shelter  of  powerful , rich  persons  to ensure  their  security. They  will go out  of  way  to  keep them  in  good  humor  or pleased. In  that  search  of  Security ,  precious  moments  of  life  are  wasted   and  they  miss  the  real  enjoyment.  THEIR  OLD  AGE  MAY  BE  COMFORTABLE  BUT  EVEN  AT  THAT  STAGE  THEY  WOULD  NOT  BE  THE  BOSS  AROUND .


Real  happiness  lies  in  being  their  own  boss.  That  Power  gives  impetus  to  all  activities  and  that  is  life.
